Survey, assessment and monitoring
Coastal and marine ecological survey, assessment and monitoring including EIA, for ports and marinas, offshore renewable energy, the oil and gas industries and other developments.
Scientific advice
Expert scientific advice: liasing with environemental regulators; interpreting environmental legislation; securing development licenses, complying with environmental consent conditions and mitigating environmental impacts.

Other services include:
Water and sediment contamination studies; review of scientific information; freshwater ecology, including River Habitat Survey; and protected species survey/advice. CMACS staff also contribute to the teaching of the Honours Degree in
Marine Biology at the University of Liverpool, the MSC in Restoration Ecology, and are involved in PhD
supervision at Port Erin Marine Lab.
