The Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies provides specialist environmental consultancy and contract applied research services based on ecological investigation and interpretation.


CMACS staff have substantial environmental consultancy experience across a range of environments. Our senior consultants are specialist environmental scientists with doctoral level qualifications in their field of expertise.

We combine the best scientific rigour and objectivity with professional commercial consultancy geared towards the needs of our clients.

CMACS developed out of the University of Liverpool, incorporating as an independent company in September 2003.

We have developed a reputation for providing sound and objective advice to developers and regulators alike; our clients range from major government agencies and blue-chip companies to smaller companies and local authorities.
