The Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies provides specialist
environmental consultancy and contract applied research
services based on ecological investigation and interpretation.
 

CMACS developed out of the University of Liverpool, incorporating as an independent company in September 2003. We combine the best scientific rigour with professional commercial consultancy geared towards the needs of our clients.

We have developed a reputation for providing sound and objective advice to developers and regulators alike; our clients range from major government agencies and blue-chip corporations to local authorities and smaller companies.
CMACS staff have substantial environmental consultancy experience across a range of environments. Our senior consultants are specialist environmental scientists with doctoral level qualifications in their field of expertise.

We have core expertise in the Irish and North Sea (including Orkney and Ireland) but also experience of the Red Sea and Suez Canal, Mediterranean, Gulf, Arabian Sea, IndianOcean, Pacific, Caribbean, Antarctica, Sub-Antarctic Islands, Alaska and Deep North-East Atlantic.
